This past weekend we took Oakley and my sister Bailee to Black Island Farms. We took the hayride and picked some pumpkins to carve. Oakley loved the pumpkin picking part but not the hayride. She had her arms clenched around me and burried her little face in my shoulder the whole time. I couldn't figure out why she didn't like it. She loves the kiddie rides at Lagoon and has no problems with those, but for some reason hated this. Maybe it was because it was dark? I think if she was able to talk she'd tell ya her favorite part of the night were the slides and corn box. She would've played in that corn box all night if we would've let her. She had a little melt down when we took her out. (I can't believe these melt downs are already starting. Thought I had a little longer till those came). Later Bailee and I carved some pumpkins and roasted some seeds. (my favorite part).

So it has been forvever since I been on here. I literally haven't been able to sign in to my blog since April. It has taken me this long to figure it out. After hours of reading blogger help forums and leaving help messages I finally figure it out. So much has happened since then. I couldn't possably recap the last 5 months. So I'm just starting fresh from here.

Oakley is now 17 months old (Ican't believe it!). This stage is so much fun. She's such a smartie pants. She has learned her alphabet letters AND Sounds! Yes, this is true. She watched Leap Frog Letter Factory in a one week period and now knows here letters and sounds. I continue to have her watch it along with others and I can't believe how she picks the information up so fast. All day she spouts out letter sounds and even looks for letters as we drive in the car. For example, we went to Hobby Lobby the other day and I swear she acted like a kid at disneyland. We hung out in the parking lot while she stared at the sign on the building and said all the letters a couple times through. And yes, she waved buy to the letters after we left. So Cute! People were walking by laughing at how cute she was. She loves to dance to anything playing on the radio, tv., store intercom etc. That girlie has some good moves and kicks (or so she tries).

Joe and I are doing great. Just staying busy between work and play. For those of you who don't know we're having another baby. A Baby Girl! I'm 18 weeks along and due March 30th. So we've just been trying to get things together and prepared for her to come. So much to do....but my goal is to keep this thing updated. So more post to come.

What now people....Kentucky beat Ohio...Yeah!! This is for all you that gave me crap about putting Kentucky up in my bracket..(no names mentioned....JOE!!). Ya Joe convinced me this year to fill out bracket for there competition at his work. And maybe, well ok, I just don't know much about any of the teams. But I had a feeling that this would happen. Kentucky beating Ohio. Joe tried to convince me otherwise. All I have to say is what now! I knew it! Ya we're are definitely having a Kentucky vs North Carolina party on Sunday.So long N. Carolina........

Where did the warm weather go?????

No more snow!! We want warm weather...It was so nice the other week, that I was wishing we had seen the last of the snow and cold. Those hopes are gone :) Oakley and I get so stir crazy sometimes that we just get out the hats, gloves, baby suit, socks, and blankets and bundle up for a quick walk around the neighborhood. She looks so cute! And she loves it (anything to get outside)....but we want the warm weather. (No we did not go out today while it was snowing and raining, we're not that crazy, pic was from the other day :) We'll continue wishing for sunshine....

Wow, has it really been eight, nine months since I updated this thing?? I can't believe I've been so horrible at blogging. I do kind of have an excuse. We haven't had internet at our house since Oakley was born. I tried keeping up on posts by using my parents computer. But that got really tricky and annoying transfering photos from one computer to another. So here we are nine months later with internet running. YEAH!! (Although, it seems as though my computer might die any day. Wish me luck.) Well we are all doing good. Oakley is nine months now. I can't believe it!! Where has the time gone? She is so much fun and has the cutest personality. She is crawling and into everything right now and will be walking soon. It seems like I just continue picking up her messes all day as she storms through the house. But I really do love this independent stage. I'm lucky to have such a flexible work schedule so I can be home with Oakley in the day and Joe has her at night while I work. (excluding a day and a few hours here and there that my mom helps out). We are just loving our time together right now, trying to enjoy every minute of it. Gosh, there is so much to catch up with that I think instead of trying to go back I will just start from today on. But I will post some pictures up to this point since she's changed so much. I can't skip out on that, right? Right now some of my favorite things that I don't want to forget about Oakley are:

-Her crazy, curly hair. I love mornings when it's all over the place. Some days I don't fix her hair just so I can look at it all day. (I'll have to post one of these pics).

-I love watching her goo goo at her boy crush, Wyatt, from Super Why. Ha Ha! Joe and I tease because she really gets so excited for this charcter. She really could care less about any others. It's so funny.

-She still loves it when I rock and sing her to sleep every night. She thinks she needs to wait for me to get home from work. Even if it is 10:00 pm! It's been throwing her schedule off, but not much we can do, she's pretty stuborn just like her Dad. Ok and her mom...

-We love to dance. She loves music and rythym. The other day I found her in the bedroom where the radio was on, sitting right by the blaring sterio head banging to Taylor Swift. So Funny!

-She's loves to joke around. Always trying to tickle or make us laugh.

-We love our Saturdays where we are all home together. It' crazy how you can tell she really enjoys these days already with how little she still is. I cherishing these days while they last.

-And we can't forget how she loves our weekly (some times daily) trips to Walmart. I don't know what it is, but she loves it. It makes grocery shopping so easy. I literally can shop for hours if I wanted.

That's a little about Us right now. I'll try better at keeping this going. Pictures are soon to follow. (I don't know about you, but it's hard for me to read an entire post without pics). So sorry for those of you that are more visual like me, they are coming.....:)

Ok so it has taken me awhile to get some pictures of Oakley on here. She's already 5 1/2 weeks old. But here they are. She was born on May 19, 2010. She was 6lbs 14oz, 20 in. She's such a beautiful and healthy baby! The delivery went good minus a few recovery set backs, but here we are doing well. We are so glad to finally have her here. I can't believe it! Know that the pregnancy is over I have no idea where the time went. Well, until I start remembering the details and sickness, ha ha. Either way we've been so blessed to have a good pregnancy and delivery. You may notice Oakley's little face is quite swollen from delivery. She came out face up so it took about 45 to 60 minutes of pushing. My Dr. said that those situations usually end up with a c-section, but thankfully we didn't have to go that route. I have more pictures to add, since these are only the newborn photos. So hopefully it won't take me much longer to post them. Our internet connection has been down since we moved and we haven't got around to it. So much to do so little time :)

So the time has finally arrived. We have found a house! YEAH! We are very excited. This has been a very long process and we're glad to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. We made an offer back the 1st week of January and have been patiently waiting, and waiting for some news (the home was in a short sale). We are in the process of closing as we speak and should have the keys within the next two weeks. We are both so excited!! We should be moved in and settled before the baby comes, (we're crossing our fingers). What an experience this has been. We have been so blessed and have had many prayers answered and many not answered the way we thought, but in the end we've seen the reasoning and are so grateful for the guidance of our Heavenly Father. We're sad to leave our apartment at 1027, and all our friends in our ward. We have loved living here the past 3 1/2 years, but our looking forward to this new experience. Many changes are coming our way :)

I can't believe that our baby girl will be here so soon! Joe and I are so excited to have her here and see what she looks like and just love her. I'm so blessed to have had such a good pregnancy so far. Yes, I was really sick the first 4 months, but no major complications. What a blessing! It's been so fun to see her grow and feel her moving inside. I can't believe we'll be a mommy and daddy soon. How exciting! Hopefully these 8 weeks don't crawl by. I'm trying to fill up this month with things to occupy myself. But I have a feeling that it's going to be a long month of anticipation.

25 &1/2 Weeks...

Okay so I gave in and took a picture for you all. This really is the only pitcure I have being pregnant except for one in December. I'm not a big photo taker of myself as it is, but here you go me at 25 1/2 weeks. I wish I had some ultrasound photos to put on here. We went to our 3D ultrasound appt. about 3 weeks ago and didn't have much luck. The baby had her head covered between her knees and was holding on to her feet so her arms and knees blocked her face. The tech. tried for about 20 minutes to make her move around, but she wouldn't. I see she already has some attitude. The funny thing was that about 15 minutes after we left the Dr.'s I could feel her move completly around. Ugh. Crazy girl. O well! She's doing great though, really healthy and moves around all day. That's my favorite part of this whole pregnancy is to feel her move around. I joke with Joe that she already loves music because when I'm at home or driving around I'll turn the music up loud and sing and she moves around like crazy! She's already learning some dance moves in there :) JK. Hopefully I can get a picture of her posted soon.

Date Night at The Jazz Game

Saturday night Joe and I were able to go to the Jazz game with some of his family. His aunt was able to get us tickets for one of the box suites. They had a nice dinner, dessert and snacks for us during the game. It was really fun. The baby was moving like crazy all night long from all the loud noises, cheering, and music. So we all had a fun night out :)

Also an update on the baby, I am now about 21 weeks and It's A Girl! We were very excited to find out, the week before Christmas. It's been fun to know. She is now moving quite a lot which is really exciting. I've had fun picking out a few things and getting ready for her. I started making some blankets and burp cloths which I have also learned to crochet around the edges. It's taking some time but I am enjoying every minute of it. And for Joe he has been sweet and helpful as ever! He loves to rub my belly and talk to his little baby girl. So Cute! Here are some cute little things I've bought or been given.

I am 10 weeks along and doing great. The sickness is starting to fade a little

which is nice for me. I am able to enjoy things a little more. We are

both very excited for May 23, 2010 for our little one to join us.

So this past weekend Joe was asked by our Bishopric to be a Scouts Leader. Now I'm not familiar with the names of the different age groups, but he will be a leader for the 12 to 13 year olds. Yeah!! Fun Stuff! He is excited to work with the YM and he had his first activity yesterday and enjoyed it. I guess they will be going on atleast one camping trip each month and they are working on their Bicycling badge right now and have to bike over 100 miles(something like that). Anyway, goodluck Joe.

Good old Yellowstone...

We love our Yellowstone trips!! We were able to go over Labor Day weekend and it was so nice to get away and relax. It was such nice weather and we all had a great time. Three days was just not long enough!

The view from our camp ground, "I Loop". We stay here faithfully every year. It's so beautiful! This lake is Yellowstone lake and just down that hill/path my Dad docks his fihing boat. So all we have to do is walk right out of our camp ground to go fishing. I went out this time with my Dad and uncle Brett and caught some nice 4 to 5 pounders, I don't have the pics unfortuntly.

So this Friday I went up to help move in Aubrey to her new apartment in Logan, along with my Dad, Mom, and Bailee. I can't believe summer has gone. It went by too fast! It was fun to be there with Aub and help her set up her room. My emotions were up and down that day, more like this weekend. That night after hanging out together as a family one last time before she left, I cried all the way home and until I fell asleep that night. I thought the tears had run dry until I started this post. What can I say, I'm really going to miss ya Aub!! But I'm so excited too! Gosh, with how hard this has been you would think she lives out of state and far far away. I know Logan is only an hour away, but still, she's my baby sister:( I think it's hard to be the oldest because I remember so much of all my sisters and growing up. I love them all so much! I love ya Aubrey, have fun in Logan!!

Birthday/Anniverary Weekend..

This weekend I suprised Joe by taking us back to Red Butte Gardens for our Anniverary, which is on the August 31st (3 years). It was fun to go back there and walk around. It brought back many memories of that day. After we went to lunch, then headed over to the Anniversary Inn, where we also stayed on our wedding day. Joe was totally suprised. YEAH!! I finally stumped him. Usually he ends up quessing, and is always right:) Later that night we had reservations at the Melting Pot which was so delicious! It was such a fun and relaxing weekend.

Sunday we celebrated Joe's birthday at his parents house. Sally made yummy tacos, enchiladas, and chili verde. Happy 26th birthday Babe!! Love Ya!

It's been about a month since I've updated this thing, but much has happened. First things first, Girls Camp has come and gone, and was a huge success!! (reason for the title). I was so blessed! Things went smoothly and better then I could have imagined. It was a blast to hang out with the leaders and girls for a week and to be spiritually fed. All preparations were worth it:) The only hard thing about all this is now that I know the girls and leaders better, I never want to leave our ward. This doesn't help in the process of finding a house....ugh! O well, life goes on, right? O ya, thanks to my wonderful husband that took work off for two days to help load and drive the trailer, packed with all our stuff, up to the camp. And not to mention the patients(sp) he had with me the last month-two weeks before camp. Thanks for all your help!

The week after I got back from Girls Camp I started a new job. YEAH!! I have been searching for a job that would work with my crazy school schedule for pretty much the entire summer and wasn't able to find anything! It just so happened that a friend of mine and Joe's got me one and I didn't even have to interview. WOW! That never happens. I just had a 15 minute, over the phone chat, with the owner and there it was. Another great blessing!!

Just last week Joe and I took Joe's parents, Sally and Scott to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was beautiful and a good experience to be there with them. Both Joe and I were suprised they said yes when I asked last month if they wanted to go. Another great blessing!

I also bottled 3 dozen bottles of green beans and 2 dozen bottles of corn from my Dad's garden. We are now set for the next year with bottled veggies. For anyone who cans, you know it's a long process, but well worth it. It atleast gave me something to do the week I got back from camp. Since my mind was still in overload. Thanks Mom and Dad!

We really have been blessed this last month! And now I am enjoying taking a breather/break since camp is over until school starts in two weeks. Everyone enjoy your last weeks of summer!!

This past weekend I went to Lava Hot Springs with the Youth in our ward. It was alot of fun to get away, and get to know the YW a little better. I just love the girls in our ward, it's like having a bunch of younger sisters. I love it!! It's funny to remember that I was once that age. All they think about are boys, sleeping, and more boys. O, the good old days...

Goodbye Bullet....So Long!

So it happened, I finally sold my little Hyundai Accent, aka "The Bullet". It was such a great car, I will miss it. I decided to sale it because between Joe and I, we had three cars, and we just weren't driving the bullet very much. I really didn't want to part with it. But the last month my school plans fell through and I've been scrambling to figure out how I would pay for tuition come August. Well after much contemplation and prayer, I decided to put it up for sale on the 2nd to last Friday, telling my self that if it went fast, it was meant to be. Well I got two calls by Monday, and sold it to the second caller by Tuesday. And to make it even better I got about $300.00 over blue book. WOW! What a suprise that it went that fast! Especially in this market. I know it was meant to be and my prayers were answered. Now I have the money for school. I've never been as excited to go to school as I am this coming semester, because of all this. What a blessing! Goodbye Bullet!! :)

We're so proud of Aubrey! We can't believe she's graduated already. It was a fun day to spend with her at graduation. We all went to Typanyaki (is that how you spell it?) for dinner, before she went to her school party. Joe and I haven't been there before but it was so yummy, we for sure will be going back sometime. So I have to take a minute to brag about my sweet Husband. I just love you so much! So I was having a bad day, or two, or three, (whatever the count, I'm not keeping track)this week and on Tuesday he came home to a not so happy, emotional wife. And of course, you know when your having a bad day you get a little snappy,cranky, whiny,etc. Well, I guess I'll speak for myself:) But he came home from a long day at work and was still such a sweetie! He had me come cuddle with him and had me listen to his i-pod with him as he played me songs that remind him of me. I thought he was so sweet as he just held me while, yes, I cried. In this house bad days usually come with the emotions, ha, ha. But you know how it is, crying always makes it better:) But thanks sweetie, you helped me have a better week. I love you!! I just had to post the first song he played, so you can imagine why I couldn't hold the tears.

Ok so I'm going to be going to the Britney Spears concert in two weeks! My sister Malerie has always like her since she become popular. She's a die hard fan! So when news first came out about her concert in Salt Lake she just had to go:) So Malerie, Aubrey, and I bought tickets clear back in November (I think. It seems so long ago). Anyway, the fam keeps giving Mal and I a hard time and joking with us because are both leaders in Young Women and we will be ditching out on our Tuesday activity to attend the concert. Weird situation! Anyway, I think it's funny also because Mal is way prego and will be going to the concert. I keep teasing her that I'm going to get the baby a onesie that says "I went to the Britney Spears Concert" or "I Love Britney". Except for that the baby is supposed to be a boy. That makes it even more funny :) Anyway, Watch out! Here we come Britney!!

For my birthday yesterday Joe took me to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. This is our favorite place to go. Although, we haven't been to the Salt Lake location yet. We usually go to the one in Ceasars Palace, in Las Vegas. That is when we are out there. It was alot of fun and really delicious! Thanks sweetie! And thanks to my family for spending the evening with us last night for some cake, icecream, and gifts!

So I just had to post a picture of my poor phone. It's been through alot. I've had this phone for about four years. I'm a very practical person so it's hard for me to buy new things when what I have works perfectly fine. Well not anymore, as you can see. Now that the two parts are detaching and the phone hangs up on everyone that calls, and I don't get my voicemails, etc. I am finally getting a new phone. Yeah! My service is through T-mobile, so let me know what you all have. Or better yet what brands don't you like. I needed another good phone to last me atleast another four years. Ha Ha.

Girls Camp Here I Come!

So I just have to say how excited I am to be in the young womens program for our ward! About three weeks ago I was called to be the MiaMaid advisor for our young women. And have been having so much fun getting to know the girls in the ward. Let me just say that teaching the younger girls is alot different then teaching Relief Society (which I taught before Joe and I got married). It's like social hour for these girls. Talk, Talk, Talk is all they want to do. Gosh, I totally forgot how it was. But I love it! Then this week a new suprise sprung on me. I've also have been called to be the Ward YW Camp Director. WOW! WHAT A SUPRISE! Where did that come from??? I just must say that Heavenly Father really does know me and knows the desires of my heart. I have always wanted to be part of the YW program and I'm always up for a new challenge. Nothing is more amazing to me then that of watching and helping someones testimony grow! And for those of you who have been to girls camp know, what a blessing it is. I had our first camp meeting on Thursday, and I'm pumped up and ready to go! I'm so grateful for this wonderful opportunity. It's only been a month since I've been in YW and I can already see the blessings that are coming into my life. I just love it!
